Palma Extortion Ring Expands to Full Municipal Tribute System, Collects Consoles Door-to-Door
A detained minor in Palma has reportedly scaled his extortion operation into a neighborhood-wide collection service, with residents now required to surrender gaming consoles, controllers and games on a fixed weekly schedule.
A detained minor in Palma has expanded his extortion operation into a full municipal tribute system, with collection teams now moving door to door across the city's central districts to demand gaming consoles, controllers and games on a fixed weekly schedule, the National Police confirmed.
According to investigators, the operation no longer waits for victims to be found in parks. Collection crews in matching tracksuits now knock on doors from eight in the morning, carrying printed timetables and a portable scale for weighing consoles. Residents who cannot produce a console are escorted to a designated corner where they must explain the shortfall to a supervisor seated on a folding chair.
«We have moved to a subscription model,» a police spokesperson said. «The young man no longer chases anyone. He has a route, a schedule and a backup team. It is more efficient for everyone.»
The scheme has reshaped the neighborhood. Families have begun trading consoles among themselves to meet quotas, and one block has converted a garage into a holding room for controllers awaiting pickup. Local shops report a run on second-hand games as residents try to assemble acceptable tribute.
Police say the investigation remains open and they do not rule out further detentions, adding that the collection teams have already begun recruiting younger runners to cover the outer streets.
