«We believe this punishment fits the crime,» said bureau director Marlene Fitzpatrick. «If she wants to see the ocean, she will see it with a stroller, a diaper bag, and a government observer taking notes on her parenting.»
Local travel agencies report a surge in bookings for family cruises, with several offering «court-compliant» packages that include childcare documentation and a notary on board. The woman's attorney has filed an appeal, arguing that the nanny's presence violates her right to privacy, but the judge has already ordered the nanny to accompany the family on the appeal hearing's courthouse tour.
