Rausing Family Sells All US Stocks, Buys Every Milk Carton in America to Keep Tetra Pak Relevant

The Rausing family, heirs to the Tetra Pak fortune, have liquidated their entire US stock portfolio and used the proceeds to purchase every milk carton in the country, vowing to personally oversee the packaging of the nation's dairy supply.

The Rausing family has sold every last share of their American stock holdings and, in a single decisive move, purchased the entire national inventory of milk cartons, emptying warehouses from coast to coast and stacking the cardboard containers in a formation visible from orbit.

Family spokesmen confirmed that the proceeds from the billion-dollar sell-off were wired directly to a consortium of dairy cooperatives, who in turn handed over every carton currently in circulation, along with a signed pledge to use only Tetra Pak packaging for the next century. The cartons, now stacked in a three-mile-long pyramid outside the family's London headquarters, are to be individually inspected by a team of 400 retired packaging engineers hired specifically for the task.

«We are not abandoning America,» said a family representative, standing atop the pyramid. «We are simply ensuring that no glass bottle, plastic jug, or rival cardboard box ever touches a drop of American milk again. The stock market was a distraction. The carton is the future.»

The move has sent shockwaves through the dairy industry, with supermarket chains reporting that shoppers are now required to bring their own containers to the checkout, as all Tetra Pak products have been recalled for the duration of the inspection. The family has also announced plans to build a 200-foot-tall replica of a milk carton in the center of Kansas, complete with a working spout that dispenses free samples to anyone who can prove they have never used a competitor's product.

«This is not about money,» the representative added, gesturing toward the pyramid. «This is about legacy. We built an empire on paper, and we will defend it with paper.»
