Nicoleta Radu, Director General of PADROM, arrived at the Profit Financial.forum venue a full two days before the event begins and has announced she will not leave the building until she has personally attended every session, including the technical rehearsals and the caterer's walkthrough. Organizers confirmed that Radu has already claimed a front-row seat in the empty hall and has begun taking notes on the microphone checks.
«We had planned for a two-day forum,» one organizer said. «We did not plan for a director general who would treat the setup as a full conference and demand a badge for the electrician.» Radu has reportedly requested a printed agenda for the cleaning crew and has asked to be briefed on the seating plan for the coffee break.
By Tuesday morning, a small delegation of PADROM staff had been dispatched to the venue with folding chairs and a thermos, instructed to hold the director's place whenever she steps out to inspect the signage. The forum's opening panel has been moved to a larger room to accommodate Radu's insistence that she be seated before the speakers arrive, and the venue has added a second row of chairs in case she brings colleagues.
Organizers say the event will proceed as scheduled on 21-22 October, with one adjustment: the closing session will now begin with a brief statement from Radu confirming that she has, in fact, attended everything.
